GERMAN WWII LATE WAR PRODUCTION K98 DISPLAY PIECE

A very scarce bayonet marked ’44 CQH’ match number ‘963’ to the blade and ‘963’ to the scabbard. The blade itself has been re-profiled at the point, and all the bluing has been cleaned off. The grips are the late-war Bakelite, of poor quality, with unusual rivets holding the grips to the main frame of the bayonet. Rifle retaining system in place and working correctly. Traces of the Waffenamt stamp on the upper pommel. The scabbard has slight indentations, marked to the scabbard also ’44 CQH’.
