German WWII Kriegsmarine Officers Display Piece with Hammered Scabbard

A beautiful example by WKC, featuring the standard naval etched patterns on the blade. The red felt washer remains intact, and the display piece fits snugly into its scabbard. The celluloid grip is perfect with all grip wire intact, complemented by the original silver portapee knot in its wrapped form, showing slight toning. The scabbard is completely undented, with all gilt finish remaining.

This example includes a matching set of aluminium gilded hanging straps. The fabric is in good condition, with minor loss of gilding to the clips, all of which function correctly. The small steadying chain is intact, though it has lost its gilt. The hammered scabbard variant of Kriegsmarine officers’ display pieces is much rarer than the standard lightning bolt pattern, as officers paid extra for this feature.
