GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE OFFICERS DISPLAY PIECE BY EICKHORN

An excellent blade with its full standard naval etched patterns, double fuller, marked with Eickhorn marking, good and bright. Fitted with its standard upper pommel with swastika, cross guard and scabbard, retains much original gilt with frosted highlights. The celluloid grip with its original grip wire has toned with three surface cracks to the body of the grip. The scabbard is totally free of dents; we mention this as so many naval officers' dagger scabbards are dented, again with its brilliant gilt. The dagger has its original portepee knot wrapped in its correct manner and fitted with a set of matching lion mask straps on their black velvet strapping. The lion’s head buckles are only marked with two dots inside one of the buckles and each set of straps. All of the matching clips are in position and working correctly; the small strap has its correct short steadying chain.
