German WWII Kriegsmarine Officers Display Piece

A fine privately purchased example associated with Kriegsmarine officers, produced by WKC and featuring the distinctive double-sided etched naval panels, identifiable as a Third Reich period piece by the small swastika within the battleship’s flag. The detailing remains crisp and well-defined throughout. The gilt finish has gently aged to an attractive patina, while the lion’s head pommel retains its red and green glass eyes. The white grip is undamaged, though six strands of the decorative wire are missing from the eleven grooves.

Both the folding clamshell and rear guard move correctly. It remains housed in its original leather scabbard, which is in excellent condition with all three gilt mounts present and firmly secured. The stitching remains strong, with only a light crease visible below the middle mount. A highly presentable and desirable Kriegsmarine officer’s display piece.
