German WWII Kriegsmarine Officers Display Piece

From a collection originally acquired in the Channel Islands of Great Britain during the 1970s, this is a very nice Kriegsmarine officers display piece by Eickhorn. The central panel features all the classic naval etching on the double fullered surface, remaining sharp and clear.

The original leather washer is present. There is minor cracking to the face side of the celluloid grip, which remains complete with its original grip wire. The central cross guard retains good traces of gilt.

The scabbard features the standard engraved pattern and has one minor depression about one third up from the base—this is not a dent. Both scabbard rings are intact with no other damage. Some gilt remains in the lower field of the scabbard. The display piece fits tightly with its press button fitting into the scabbard.
