German WWII Kriegsmarine NCO Visor Cap

An excellent example of a Kriegsmarine NCO visor cap in outstanding condition and a very large size, estimated at 59 or 60. The cap retains its classic naval shape, completely free from moth damage, and displays a strong profile with great overall colour.

Fitted with a gilded Kriegsmarine eagle showing only slight discoloration to the upper right wingtip. Below sits a fine wool-embroidered NCO cockade with metallic centre. The standard navy chinstrap is in place, secured by gilt anchor side buttons. The double-ribbed visor is typical of NCO-grade headgear.

The interior features a complete leather sweatband, showing one full and one partial split from wear. The navy satin lining remains clean and intact. A small centre celluloid lozenge, unmarked by maker or retailer, is present and has been personalised with the name ‘Harms’—applied via glued label to the lozenge and also handwritten in ink inside the sweatband.
