GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE M.40 COMBAT HELMET

A difficult-to-find all gold-decaled helmet marked ‘EF68’. The outer shell is finished in a matt but plain camouflage finish, with its gold Kriegsmarine decal, which has one abrasion to the central lower breast area. This must be an early M.40 as it is fitted with an M.35 aluminium banded liner. The leather is dry around the edges, but all is complete and undamaged, with its original drawstring and its original strap. The number ‘4’ is still clear to the very tip of the strap; other markings may have been very lightly stamped. The strap itself is in excellent condition.
