German WWII Kriegsmarine Junior Officers Visor Cap

A very good condition, full-sized Kriegsmarine junior officer’s visor cap, likely around size 57 though not marked. Constructed in dark blue naval cloth, the cap retains a crisp, classic shape with no moth damage to the upper body.

The front features a gold wire national eagle with gold wire rank braiding, and a gold wire woven central cockade, which has naturally oxidised to a greenish tone. The cap is fitted with its correct naval officers strap secured by twin gilded side buttons.

To the interior, the light tan leather sweatband shows signs of considerable wear but remains intact. The inner lining of mid-blue rayon is complete, with slight hair grease staining to the upper crown, reflecting period use; notably, the crown was never fitted with a protective celluloid lozenge.
