GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE CAPTAIN AND ABOVE RANK VISOR CAP

A very nice, large-size, possibly 58 or 59 Kriegsmarine Captain and above rank visor cap, standard naval floppy shape. No moth damage anywhere on the cap, good nap to cloth. Standard mohair centre band, with a matched set of bullion national eagle, swastika and naval style cockade. Correct chinstrap with anchor side buttons, the larger row of lace around the front for Captain and above rank. The interior of the cap has had considerable wear and use. The mid tan sweatband is all intact, the remainder of the upper inner of the cap lined in blue satin. The celluloid centre lozenge has virtually disappeared, with the faint gold stamping of the official depot markings for the Kriegsmarine in Wilhelmshaven (OKK Wilhelmshaven). A very nice example of the classic Kriegsmarine floppy cap with a good degree of service wear with no damage, either cuts, stains or moth.
