German WWII Kriegsmarine Belt Buckle

A good example of a Kriegsmarine enlisted man's belt buckle, showing honest service wear. The gilt finish remains partially visible on the outer surface, with notable rubbing across the eagle’s breast from field use.

The reverse is stamped ‘R S & S’, although part of the maker mark has been worn down by prolonged contact with the belt clip. Both double-pronged fastening claws are intact and fully functional.

R S & S were the most prolific manufacturers of buckles for the Kriegsmarine, making this a representative and collectible piece of naval field gear.
