German WWII Kriegsmarine Auxiliary Cruiser Badge

A good example of the Kriegsmarine Auxiliary Cruiser Badge, conforming to the Foerster & Barth design and of one-piece construction, without a separate rivet securing the globe.

This version is non maker-marked, as typical for Foerster & Barth, and features the correct needle pin and wire hook mounted on a circular plate. Faint traces of the known Foerster & Barth die flaw can be seen on the bottom right leg of the swastika.

The badge retains much of its original subdued gilt finish and is illustrated on page 504 of The Kriegsmarine Awards Volume 1.
