A scarce, possibly French-made blue overseas cap for a Kriegsmarine Administration Officer. Features silver piping along the sides of the boat-shaped cap, fitted with a yellow-on-blue Bevo woven eagle and swastika, showing some degradation on the breast and wings, and its matching Bevo woven Marine national lozenge. The cap displays the inverted V waffenfarbe of light blue. An old label attached reads ‘OKM Official High Command’. Large size, approximately 57, with faint traces of a circular maker’s stamp on the inner brushed cotton lining, typical of French manufacturers. Many Kriegsmarine overseas caps—including white summer, Marine Artillery, and blue deck caps—were produced in France.
