German WWII K98 Postschutz And Bahnschutz Police Pattern Display Piece

A desirable Second World War German police-pattern display piece of the K98 type, produced without Wehrmacht acceptance markings. Manufactured by Alcoso, this example is in very nice condition, retaining a clean and well-defined finish with an upper fuller visible. The fixing system is the standard pattern and remains intact. The Bakelite grip panels are undamaged and well fitted.

To the flat-backed upper edge is a Waffenamt stamp featuring a small eagle with short wings, correct for this police-associated pattern. Complete with its steel scabbard, which has been repainted, and retaining its original leather frog, maker marked and dated ‘1941’. A scarce and attractive variant associated with Postschutz and Bahnschutz police use.
