German WWII K98 Matched Number Display Piece

A well-preserved K98 example with matching number 3041 to both the item and its scabbard. The surface retains all original bluing, marked ‘ab’ on the item and ‘41 ASW’ on the scabbard. The Bakelite grips are undamaged. Twin Waffenamt stamps are present on the upper pommel, with light indentations to the backstrap consistent with historical use. The lower ball of the scabbard and the sprung-loaded rifle retaining mechanism are also Waffenamt stamped.
