GERMAN WWII K98 DISPLAY PIECE

A very nice condition matched number K98 bayonet. The blade, with all its original blueing, is numbered ‘6154’, which matches the number on the scabbard. All wood grips are undamaged. Maker marked on the reverse side of the blade ‘J.SCH’. Slight surface rust to the bluing around the hilt area. The twin Waffenamt stamp is still visible. The rifle retaining button system intais ct and working correctly. Light rust bleed through the bluing on the scabbard, which is undented and fitted with its original leather frog, which is maker marked ‘E.O.Gotze & Sohn Gersdorf’ dated ‘1941’. Good white stitching visible on the bayonet frog.
