A highly presentable World War II German display piece retaining much of its original finish, marked ‘6154’ with the number matching to its accompanying scabbard. Maker-coded ‘J.SCH’ to the reverse, with the twin inspection marks still visible. Good undamaged wood grips. Light surface ageing present around the hilt area. The rifle retaining release operates correctly. The scabbard remains undented with natural age darkening and retains its original leather frog, clearly marked ‘E.O. Gotze & Sohn Gersdorf’ and dated ‘1941’, with good bright white stitching visible.
