German WWII Iron Cross Second Class 1939 Bar to the 1914 Second Class Award

A very fine example of the 1939 Bar awarded for the Second Class Iron Cross, meant to be worn on the earlier 1914 award. The bar is presented in its original paper packet, titled to the exterior, with the award itself carefully wrapped in its original soft tissue paper. Some slight discoloration is visible to the left-hand wing, but overall the bar remains crisp and well preserved.

The reverse features two sets of horizontal fitting pins for attachment to the original 1914 Iron Cross ribbon. A desirable piece for collectors of First and Second World War German awards.
