GERMAN WWII HITLER YOUTH LEADERS WAIST BELT AND CROSS STRAP RIG

A rare accessory for the Hitler Youth leaders' uniform is the leather service belt in mid tan colour, complete with its removable cross strap and its leader's buckle. The buckle has a good finish remaining on the interior, hollow-cast construction. The clip of the buckle is marked ‘RZM M4/116. The leather is in an excellent colour. The cloth lining of the belt has been badly attacked by moths, with one section that has been completely removed from the belt; the other sections have moth damage but remain in position. The belt has both of its runners. The Hitler Youth brocade belt and buckle are more commonly encountered than this leather service set.
