A nice and rare pair of documents, being a bronze Infantry Assault Badge awarded to an HJ Volksturm member. Issued 26th February 1945 to an H.J.Scharfuhrer serving in Volksturm Battalion 12/23. A Battalion Führer’s original signature of ‘Meyer’ together with the HJ service card bearing his name, date and place of birth. Breslau was bitterly defended from the 13th February to the 6th May 1945; at this time of the war HJ units were transferred from different parts of Germany to fight on the Eastern Front. Citation folded once.
