A rare and striking uniform set attributed to a non-commissioned officer of the elite Grossdeutschland Regiment; this tailored ensemble comprises both tunic and trousers made from the exact same bolt of heavyweight wool, exhibiting excellent nap and free of any moth damage. The tunic follows the M.36 pattern with six-button front closure and four pleated pockets with flaps, deep barrel cuffs, and a fully grey satin-lined interior featuring a dagger strap hole, belt loop with clip, and one internal pocket.

The dark green collar is adorned with machine-applied Grossdeutschland-specific litzen over NCO silver lace, and the front skirt is white piped in accordance with Grossdeutschland tradition. Stitch-in shoulder boards feature green centers with white piping and affixed metal Grossdeutschland monograms. A hand-applied NCO breast eagle is present above the right breast pocket, while the lower right sleeve bears the Sütterlin-script Grossdeutschland cuff title. Notably, some stitching to the collar litzen appears to have been carefully loosened—possibly to reveal the original cloth beneath for inspection or verification.

Accompanying the tunic are matching M.36-style trousers, also white piped along the outer seams, perfectly mirroring the tunic in both fabric and finish. This set is of upper-medium size and represents a scarce, likely tailor-made uniform for an NCO in one of Germany’s most prestigious WWII units.
