A mint condition, full-length cuff title issued to enlisted personnel of the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division “Götz von Berlichingen.” This BeVo-woven example remains uncut and unissued, retaining its original BeVo-Wuppertal manufacturer’s marking at one folded end—a key indicator of authenticity in wartime production.
Executed in fine silver-grey thread on a black rayon base, the cuff title shows no fraying, fading, or degradation to the weave. It represents a textbook example of mid-war issue insignia and is virtually identical to the specimens shown in Andrew Mollo’s Uniforms of the SS (Vol. 5).
This division saw fierce combat during the Normandy campaign, making surviving examples of its insignia in this condition increasingly rare. A choice acquisition for the advanced collector of Waffen-SS field and combat uniforms.
