GERMAN WWII GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD

A good, clean example of a number 20 marked German cross in gold, the 20 indicating the company of Fritz Zimmerman. The gilt rubbed to the highpoint of the 1941 dated wreath, minor scratches to the enamel swastika but no actual damage, some minor loss of finish to the points of the star and the ray, on the reverse side standard construction for a number 20 award, satin silver finish, four hollow domed rivets wide tapering pin marked 20 on the reverse side, the award at present fitted in a reproduction box, pleats with a Karsten Baldes certificate of authenticity.
