A very rare and complete set consisting of the German WWII Gau Tradition Badge accompanied by its exceptionally scarce 15mm miniature lapel pin. Officially known as the Party District Commemorative Badge, this award was issued at the discretion of local Gauleiters to honour loyal and outstanding service to the Party within a specific Gau.
This example is in superb condition, retaining all of its original black painted finish to the central swastika. The construction is consistent with all known originals, and the reverse is clearly maker marked in raised relief Wächter & Langer, Mittweida, along with a raised 800 silver content stamp.
It features an unusual double-thickness pin and two hollow rivets securing the swastika to the main body. The accompanying miniature lapel pin is mounted in its original LDO card display section and is faintly RZM-marked on the reverse, with the number 1/700 more clearly visible.
An exceptional and complete example of a highly sought-after NSDAP honour badge.
