This rare Kriegsmarine-issued Führerstandarte flag was flown in the presence of Adolf Hitler, typically displayed from major warships such as battleships or heavy cruisers during his visits. Measuring 2.40 x 2.40 meters, this large-format flag would have been used when Hitler was in residence at a location. The canvas selvage edge is Kriegsmarine marked and includes the designation “Führerstandarte” along with the flag’s size. The maker’s silk woven label from a company in Köln remains intact.
The flag shows some stitched repairs that appear to be contemporary, with no stains present. There is slight moth damage along the lower edge, consistent with its age. An extremely rare and significant artifact from the Third Reich era.
