An extremely scarce example of the Prussian Forestry Baschlikmütze, dating from 1934–35. Constructed in forestry green with darker green piping, this large size cap (approx. 59–60) remains in superb condition with no moth damage. The front is fitted with two Prussian eagle buttons with swastika centres, the lower button showing some surface abrasion. Complete with Prussian cockade and the M.29 SA-style political eagle. The light tan leather sweatband is intact, accompanied by a quilted, multi-stitched winter lining. Maker’s name ‘Cottbus’ is silver-blocked to the sweatband. A highly desirable and rare forestry service cap.
