GERMAN WWII FLARE POUCH STRAP

The extremely rare all canvas long strap with the very heavy-duty sprung-loaded clips on either end for fitting to the webbing flare pouch. Shown in Ausrustung volume 1, page 186. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom, comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15-year-old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years, culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
