German WWII DAF Officers Overseas Cap

A very scarce example of a DAF officer’s overseas cap. Constructed in high-quality black wool with bright gold piping running along both sides of the envelope and around the full front scallop. The front is fitted with a fine gold-on-black political-style eagle in triangular form, positioned above two gold buttons—one of which has developed slight green oxidation. The exterior remains free from any moth damage or significant wear.
The interior is lined in black brushed cotton and clearly stamped size ‘58’. It features the typically shortened forehead section of the sweatband, as often seen on higher-quality caps. The large DAF RZM label remains fully intact and affixed to the inner lining. This particular example would have been worn by a member of the DAF serving at Reich level—an exceptionally rare cap.
