GERMAN WWII CUSTOMS OFFICIAL VISOR CAP

A very nice example, possibly size 58, Customs green construction. No moth damage anywhere on the cap. A matched set of Customs insignia, with its silver and green dedicated Customs cord. This cap never appears to have been worn; the mid-green leather sweatband is all intact. To make the cap a more snug fit for the wearer, a folded section of World War II newspaper has been placed between the sweatband and the main body of the cap. Opening the section of paper is a wonderful image of a Heinkel 111 aircraft, swastika to tail. Brown satin lined to the upper inner crown area with a full centre celluloid lozenge maker marked in gold. A mint cap.
