German WWII Coastal Artillery Overseas Cap

A very fine example of a large size (58) 1941 dated boat-shaped overseas cap for the Coastal Artillery. Constructed in the classic Coastal Artillery material, the cap is free from moth damage or tracking. Fitted with the correct yellow on green Coastal Artillery eagle and matching green national cockade, with an interesting detail: a second cockade appears to have been applied above the original Bevo woven example to give the cap a more prominent front appearance. A superb piece of specialized wartime headgear.
