GERMAN WWII CLOSE COMBAT CLASP IN BRONZE BY FLL

A lovely condition example, virtually all of its bronze finish remaining. Slight traces of the bluing to the central plate are still showing. On the reverse side it would appear at first glance that a repair has been effected to the base of the hinge; we believe this to be a colouration from the original manufacturer. According to the excellent work The German Combat Clasps of WWII by Thomas M. Durante, this is the 3rd pattern of the FLL manufacturing type.
