A finely crafted white satin porcelain presentation plaque measuring 12 x 6cm, depicting the coat of arms of Berlin with the standing bear and the dates 1237–1937. The reverse bears the inscription: “Thanking you for your service to the city in 1937.” Housed in its original presentation case, the interior lid features the gilded maker’s mark of a Berlin porcelain manufacturer. The cardboard case shows light scuffing.
Accompanied by a lovely A4 presentation letter addressed to Herr Baas from the Bürgermeister of Berlin, thanking him for his assistance in organising the 700-year celebrations of the city. The letter is dated 17th September 1938 and is folded once with additional light creasing.
