German WWII Battleship Tirpitz Citations

A rare grouping of three official documents awarded to Mechanikersobergefreiten Piontek. Included is a semi-hard card A5 citation for the Iron Cross 2nd Class, dated 20th April 1944, likely issued following the British aerial attack on 4th April 1944. A second semi-hard card A5 citation, now faded from framing, documents the award of the Fleet Badge to Piontek while serving aboard the battleship Tirpitz. Completing the group is a slightly larger than A5 on-board produced and hand-coloured citation commemorating the Tirpitz crossing the Arctic Circle, dated 12th March 1943, featuring an outline of the Tirpitz and Northern Norway, relating to her role in operations against British convoys to Russia.
