GERMAN WWII AUSTRIAN M16 TRANSITIONAL SINGLE DECAL ARMY COMBAT HELMET

A very nice condition Austrian World War I helmet converted during the period of the Third Reich for use in the army. The exterior shell retaining virtually all its Third Reich applied refinished paint, the Army single decal having one abrasion to the lower left wing, to the interior, the original Austrian chinstrap posts remain, helmet fitted with a size 57 M 40 liner and band, leather stamped 57 good bright colour, leather supple, original drawstring complete, original owner's name, which appears to be “Morsors”. A maker-marked chinstrap fitted in good, strong condition. A very nice, rare variation of the transitional Army helmet.
