German WWII Army Tropical Infantry Overseas Cap

A rare and unworn tropical overseas cap, constructed from standard tropical cloth and complete with its original soutache. The red interior lining is clearly maker marked Clemens Wagner, dated March 1942, and size stamped ‘56’. The front is fitted with its factory-applied Bevo woven blue-on-tan tropical eagle above a matching cockade, along with the rare addition of white infantry waffenfarbe.
Research suggests that the only white-piped uniform items actually worn in North Africa were those of Army Flak Artillery, making this a particularly scarce variation. Minor oxidisation is present to the air vents, but the cap remains in excellent, stored, unworn condition.
