GERMAN WWII ARMY SINGLE DECAL SEMI TROPICAL CAMOUFLAGE M 40 COMBAT HELMET

The M 40 shell stamped ‘NS 64’ was painted in a tropical finish but with a tinge of green suggesting the Italian campaign. Some minor losses to the paint finish, but generally, all are complete. The liner retaining rivet heads are still with the camouflage finish. The Army decal with some losses, as can be seen by our web images. To the interior, the batch numbers in the inner rear skirt read ‘D 105’. The original grey finish is complete on the interior bowl and skirt. The liner shows wear and use, but is complete with its original drawstring. The helmet is complete with its maker marked and ‘1940’ dated strap in good, strong order.
