The piped service tunics are always desired by collectors, this example very fine quality, good upper medium size, lemon yellow piping to the dark green collar, the base of the parade type collar patches, and the base of the stitch-in shoulder boards, which each have two pips to the rank of Hauptmann with the numeral ‘65’ indicating the 65th Signals Regiment. The breast eagle is of the most superb wire quality. All silvered buttons fitted. Piped in lemon yellow to the cuffs and the front opening of the tunic. No moth damage anywhere on the tunic, with a tailor’s label of ‘Lohr of Berlin’ fitted to the upper inner satin lining close to the collar. Two loops for a medium-sized medal ribbon bar with two loops for a single award to the upper left-hand breast pocket.
