A well-preserved example of a WWII German Army enlisted man’s overseas cap, featuring the distinctive lemon yellow soutache indicating Signals branch service. Constructed from field-grey wool with much of the original nap remaining, the cap retains its classic shape with the pull-down side flaps neatly stitched into place—a common wartime practice.
The front is adorned with a Bevo-woven Heer eagle above a matching roundel, both showing light age wear consistent with field use. The interior is lined in grey cotton with minor signs of wear, and is clearly marked with the size "56," a visible maker's mark, and wartime date. Some minor moth tracking is present, but overall condition remains very good. A representative and service-used example of an enlisted man’s Signals field cap.
