A rare and highly sought-after set comprising three pouches and a separate engineer’s satchel, originally issued to German Army pioneers. This exact configuration is illustrated and detailed on page 194 of Uniforms & Traditions of the German Army 1933-45, Volume 3, by John R. Angolia and Adolf Schlicht.

The main assembly includes a central rucksack with an attached water bottle pouch, flanked by the left and right side pouches—each fitted with the scarce sprung-loaded connecting straps. All belt loops feature the distinctive tropical webbing used in overseas theatres. Flap closures are secured with leather and steel fittings. The right-hand pouch shows a small field repair on its reverse side and contains a canvas-lined compartment for a gas mask with its original closing rope.

The central haversack combines leather and tropical webbing straps, consistent with wartime adaptations. Accompanying the set is the engineer’s satchel, depicted on page 197 of the referenced work. While the shoulder strap is missing, the web carrying handle remains intact. All original Lux pointed straps are present and correctly positioned.

This complete and well-documented set represents an exceptional addition for collectors of German pioneer or engineer equipment, offering both display appeal and historical significance.
