A most magnificent condition and visually highly attractive, good-sized tunic for an Oberleutnant in a Panzer Reserve Unit. Standard pocketless tunic, dark green collar, pink piped to the collar and front skirt of the tunic, also pink piped to the rear Prussian rear skirt and lower cuffs. Pink-based silver wire woven collar patches. Very nice, high quality officers silver wire on a dark green breast eagle. Fitted with a set of adjutant aiguilettes. The insignia to each shoulder board is a Gothic ‘S’ ( Armoured School ) over a number ‘2’. The construction of the shoulder boards is silver wire over pink over reserve grey. Four loops for a long medal ribbon bar to the upper left breast, with three sets of loops for other awards at the centre part of the left hand breast. In the inside pocket is the original tailor’s label with the hand-applied name of the officer, which, unfortunately, is indistinct, but with a date of ‘1937’. The tunic is completely free of any moth damage or other repairs. Some minor staining to the inner green lining material.
