One of the most difficult colours to obtain is the light apple green of the Panzer Grenadiers. Upper medium-sized parade tunic, no moth damage. Light apple green piped in wool to the NCO shoulder boards, dark green collar edge, front closure flap of tunic, rear Prussian skirt, and parade style cuffs. Silver Bevo NCO quality breast eagle. A four-section medal ribbon bar fitted, War Service Cross, first class with swords, World War I Wound badge in black, and a set of Aigulettes. Some stitching is loose on the left hand lower cuff as the tunic is viewed. Fully lined to the interior. The visor cap is approximately size 56, constructed in the issue-grained material, piped in light apple green for a Panzer Grenadier. One moth hole at the rear overhang of the cap and some moth into the green waffenfarbe, again at the rear of the cap. A matching set of stamped aluminium army eagle and cockade. Standard NCO or enlisted man’s strap, standard visor with some creasing. The interior is fully lined in gold satin, with the faint traces of the ‘Pekuros’ maker’s name, and faint traces of an original owner's name. On pulling down the leather visor in the forehead area, a retailer’s stamp can be seen; the name is difficult to read, but a clear date of ‘1942’. The sweatband is also stamped on the inner side with the size ‘56’. A rare combination of a Panzer Grenadier visor cap and parade tunic together.
