GERMAN WWII ARMY MOUNTAIN TROOPER OFFICERS VISOR CAP

A very nice condition high saddle shape visor cap for a member of a mountain troop unit. Mountain green piping to the upper crown and to the upper and lower sections of the dark green centre band. Nice quality struck aluminium eagle with a woven cockade having a metallic centre. Standard officers' cap cords with twin pebbled side buttons. The cap is probably a size 55; the wide Pekuros mid tan sweat band appears to be in unused condition. The upper inner crown lining is in grey satin with the maker’s logo ‘Pekuros’, this is obviously a later war example where such niceties as the celluloid lozenge were omitted. No moth anywhere on the cap. The 10cm length of the sweatband has come loose from the main bod,y where the stitching has rotted. A super-looking cap.
