German WWII Army M42 Combat Helmet

A good example of an M42 Army combat helmet, stamped size ‘E64’. The shell retains its original paint with only minor loss to the crown area and light scratches consistent with storage. The army decal remains clear and fully intact. Evidence of long-term barn or shed storage is visible, giving the helmet a dry, untouched appearance. The liner is complete aside from one missing tongue, while the chinstrap is partially present with roughly half remaining. The original drawstring survives but is detached from several tongues. Batch number ‘2499’ is stamped to the interior rear skirt.
