German WWII Army M40 Single Decal Camouflage Helmet

A true barn-find example of an M40 combat helmet. The interior rim shows raised rust that has obscured any size stampings, though the leather liner is faintly marked with size ‘56’. The exterior retains a subdued green and brown camouflage finish, with the outline of the army decal faintly visible beneath the paint.

The interior liner retains good original colour overall. One liner tongue shows gnawing damage, likely from a rodent, while the remaining tongues are intact. The chinstrap is absent. Batch number ‘1359’ is stamped to the inner rear skirt.
