GERMAN WWII ARMY INFANTRY OFFICERS CAP - HUGE SIZE

A good service-worn, saddle-shaped, very large-size infantry officer's visor cap. Standard white piped; no moth damage evident anywhere on the cap. Dark green centre band. One piece stamped white metal eagle with a bullion cockade, which has some light oxidisation. Standard officer's cap cords. Fibre peak. To the interior, heavy wear and use is evident; clear ‘Erel Berlin’ marking underneath the central celluloid lozenge, which has some slight distortion. Light green satin inner liner, which is stained and worn. The sweatband is unusual for Erel being an ersatz type; part of the sweatband is lightly detached from the main body of the cap. An impressive-looking cap for a battle-worn mannequin.
