A very small size but well service used Der Speiss tunic of the Field Police. The originally dark green tunic has been washed and sun bleached to a very light green, bordering on cream. The shoulder boards fitted are slip-on orange piped in wool, dark green centre with double rank pips indicating the rank of a Stabsfeldwebel. Some moth damage to the green centre of both shoulder boards. Dark green collar with mouse grey universal collar patches with some moth losses to one part of the silver tress. A well-worn machine-embroidered enlisted ranks breast eagle, which is partially loose from the tunic itself, as the wool edge has been partially moth-eaten away. Iron Cross ribbon to the second buttonhole, loops for two awards. The Der Speiss lace on both sleeves of the tunic is oxidised with some sections missing. To the interior, a full complement of size markings plus a maker in Stuttgart, also stamped to the interior ‘RAD’ and what appears to be ‘DAF’ however, this is definitely an army used tunic. All buttons are of the removable type.
