GERMAN WWII ARMY DOUBLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET WITHOUT ITS LINER

The shell is surprisingly unmarked; it would appear to be an upper medium size. To the exterior, possibly 30% of its original apple green finish remains, with areas of quite deep corrosion but no areas of direct penetration of the steel. The army decal is semi-complete, as can be seen in our web images. The national tricolour has traces remaining. All three of the original liner retaining rivet heads are complete. The interior M.35 liner band is complete with its two hanging straps and a very small section of the strap, some congealed sections of leather. The helmet does not appear to be ground dug but has obviously been lying in a very damp atmosphere, which has caused the surface corrosion both to the interior and exterior; nevertheless an original double decal combat helmet and is priced according to the condition.
