A very good, possibly size 59, high saddle-shaped Erel-constructed cavalry officers visor cap. Constructed in very fine ribbed material, no moth damage, golden yellow waffenfarbe, a matching set of bullion wire eagle and cockade, standard officers' silver cap cords, fibre peak. To the interior, the mid-tan all-leather sweatband split in one place, the Erel trademark visible on the leather, the remaining interior lining in gold rayon, with the large centre celluloid lozenge with the faint traces of the Erel trademark was originally gilded to the gold rayon that has faded.
