A finely tailored artillery NCO’s parade tunic, constructed in high-quality field grey-green cloth. The stitch-in shoulder boards feature red wool piping with company slip-on numerals 33. Faint evidence of earlier numerals—likely 38—remains on the dark green centres, suggesting the senior NCO was transferred between units.

The tunic retains its dark green collar, fitted with red-centred Bevo-woven collar patches backed on matching uniform cloth, and finished with silver NCO collar lace. A Bevo-woven breast eagle is neatly applied to the upper left breast. Both lower sleeves bear two rows of Der Spiess lace, indicating the wearer’s status as company sergeant major.

To the chest are three loops for a short medal ribbon bar and two sets of twin loops for medal or badge displays on the lower right breast. The overall configuration clearly shows that this senior NCO had the tunic specially tailored without the additional embellishments normally found on full parade garments, and it remains in its original, unaltered state.

Beautifully marked to the interior with size stamps, depot stamp M35, and unit designation 2./A.R.33, with a Roman numeral I sizing beneath. The number 305 is stamped into the rear panel. An internal sword or dagger hanger is present, with a professionally tailored aperture through the horizontal waist seam to allow suspension.

A highly characterful and interesting Der Spiess tunic.
