GERMAN WWII ARMY 2ND PATTERN TROPICAL TUNIC

A good, lightly serviced, used, worn army 2nd pattern tropical tunic. Standard five-button construction, four pockets without pleats, adjustable cuffs. Good original colour to the tunic. Fitted with the factory-applied gold-on-blue Bevo woven collar patches. The slip-on tropical shoulder boards are red artillery piped, but are good reproductions. The breast eagle is the correct factory-applied Bevo woven blue on gold, which has had a tear on the lower left side of the eagle’s breast. A tropical Obergefreiter patch is applied to the right-hand sleeve, above an original Krim Shield that we believe to be collector-added, but it does not glow under UV light. A set of aluminium panzer skulls is sewn to the lower lapels. The tunic is completely unlined, as all of these tropical tunics were, with its original bandage pocket. A full complement of now slightly faint size stampings but with a good clear depot marking of ‘E44’. Loops for two awards on the upper right breast pocket.
