GERMAN WWII ARMED FORCES TROPICAL RUCKSACK

The large rucksack is in heavy tropical canvas weave with all webbing strapping. Two large pockets to the rear, one with a closing flap. Shown in Ausrustung volume 2 page 37. The webbing is of the early tropical period in dark green. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom, comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15-year-old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years, culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
