A rare and highly desirable example of a high-ranking Allgemeine-SS officer’s tunic, attributed to a Standartenführer of SS-Regiment “Germania.” Tailored in fine-quality, lightweight gabardine-like material, this tunic reflects the classic Allgemeine-SS cut and styling, intended for elite officers within the early SS formations.

The tunic retains its original silk maker’s label from Hamburg, sewn externally to the inner pocket. Inside the same pocket is a name label, though any identifying information has been deliberately erased—presumably for anonymity. The collar shows some service-related wear, with slight thinning to the nap, adding to the garment’s authenticity and trace of use.

Insignia is superb and complete: a matched set of bullion Standartenführer collar tabs on velvet base, and a single rank pip to the right-side tab. The left sleeve bears a premium-quality, multi-piece Allgemeine-SS armband with two small moth holes, and the rare and finely hand-embroidered seven-strand Germania officers’ cuff title in heavy RZM-style bullion is tightly affixed at the lower left cuff. An SS Old Fighters chevron is correctly applied to the upper right sleeve.

All buttons are original to the tunic: front closure buttons marked RZM, pocket buttons by Assmann, and rear belt support buttons stamped OLC. A tailored slit is present on the lower left interior lining, designed to allow for wear with a dagger or sword hanger.

A remarkable and authentic piece of high-ranking Allgemeine-SS regalia, offering exceptional insignia, provenance, and condition—an outstanding centrepiece for any advanced SS or Third Reich uniform collection.
